AKIPRESS.COM - Prime Minister Muhamedkaliy Abilgaziyev has resigned on June 15.
The Prime Minister reminded that he took a short-term vacation in connection with the accusation of his involvement into extension and re-registration of radio frequencies.
"I would like to emphasize that I have nothing to do with this case, the accusations are ungrounded. During my two-week vacation the investigation authorities have not approached me with any queries. I am sure the investigation will find the true violators of the law. The investigation is still ongoing," the Prime Minister said.
"The government should work stably in such difficult situation as now amid coronavirus pandemic. Uncertain situation hinders to proper work of the government. To this end, I have made the decision to step down as the Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan," he said.
"I would like to thank President Sooronbai Jeenbekov, MPs, members of the government and all citizens of Kyrgyzstan for their support during more than 2 years of my work as the Prime Minister. I think the government has coped with the main tasks in ensuring macroeconomic stability and further sustainable economic development. In my work I have always worked openly and honestly, tried to be useful and I am convinced that I will have the possibility to use my knowledge and expertise for the sake of the country and the society," Abilgaziyev said.
