AKIPRESS.COM - Patients with asymptomatic COVID-19 and mild forms in Uzbekistan will be treated at home. President Shavkat Mirziyoyev declared the practice during video conference on June 16. The Health Ministry earlier stopped 14-day rehabilitation period of patients with COVID-19 discharged from hospitals after recovery. It was noted that rehabilitation was not necessary, as the patients recovered from coronavirus and did not transmit the infection to others.
The Ministry workers explained that in the developed countries patients in serious condition are sent to hospitals, other patients stay at home and follow medical recommendations.
During the meeting Mirziyoyev emphasized that the number of infected with COVID-19 increased among population.
During previous two weeks 482 cases were confirmed among population. In 57 cases the source of infection is unknown. The same situation is observed in Tashkent, Nawoi, Kashkardarya regions.
"The situation with coronavirus becomes more serious. We have to be careful and responsible to fight against the pandemic. During this stage we need to follow quarantine regulations, as we're responsible not only for ourselves, but also for our families, children. Otherwise all the efforts will be in vain," the President said.
