AKIPRESS.COM - The nation-wide operative team for coronavirus prevention plans to suspend the operation of public transport on weekends, said Prime Minister Kubatbek Boronov on June 20.
According to him, the operative team changes the rules and introduces new rules as a number of coronavirus cases growing.
"We discussed this issue at operative team's meeting and plan to introduce this measure in Bishkek - to suspend public transport on weekends (after Saturday afternoon and Sunday full day). Transport is the site of infection," he said.
In addition, the operative team also plans to suspend inter-regional travel between Bishkek and other regions. "The situation has improved in the regions. A large number of cases are detected in Bishkek city," he said.
The rules are not fully observed in spite of the fact that companies are fined for violation of sanitary rules.
Kyrgyzstan has confirmed 192 cases of Covid-19, 39% or 71 people do not know where they contracted coronavirus.
