Number of ambulance teams increased 2.4 times in Bishkek amid spike of calls from citizens seeking medical aid

AKIPRESS.COM - The number of mobile medical team visits sharply increased amid spike of calls from citizens seeking aid, the chief specialist of public health department of Health Ministry Baktygul Ismailova said at the briefing on June 22.
On June 12, there were 205 visits of mobile teams, which took 334 PCR tests for COVID-19 and on June 21 there were 504 visits, 630 PCR tests were taken.
The mobile teams have been switched to a round-the-clock mode of operation since June 21. They are provided with transport, food, hotel accommodation covered at the expenses of local budget.
118 coronavirus hotline received 15,723 calls since April 6. All calls with complaints and symptoms are transferred to the mobile teams. Previously, there were 4 lines at the call center, now this number has been increased to 14.
All call centers are switching to a round-the-clock mode of operation since June 22.
