2 large cement plants to be built in Turkmenistan

AKIPRESS.COM - Construction of 2 new plants with an annual production capacity of 1 million tons of cement each will be carried out by Turkmen companies, the State News Agency of Turkmenistan (TDH) reports. President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov signed resolutions on Friday authorizing the Ministry of Industry and Construction Production to conclude contracts for the construction of 2nd stages of cement plants.
The Ministry will conclude a contract with the Beýik-Bina Individual Enterprise for the design and construction of the 2nd stage of the plant for the production of 1 million tons of cement per year in Ahal velayat's Baherden etrap with the condition of construction of external supply engineering systems for electricity, gas, water supply and Sewerage.
The Ministry will also conclude a similar contract with the Türkmen Enjam Economic Society for the design and construction of the 2nd stage of the plant for the production of 1 million tons of cement per year in Lebap velayat's Koytendag etrap.
According to the document, the companies are instructed to begin the construction works in July 2020 and to hand over the cement plants with full readiness for operation in December 2022.
