Holy Fire arrives in Bishkek

AKIPRESS.COM - The Holy Fire arrived at the Russian Orthodox Cathedral ?hurch in Bishkek on June 20. "The Holy Fire emitted on April 18 at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem. For the first time for many years the miracle occurred without believers, since the Church is closed due to coronavirus pandemic," the Eparchy said.
Orthodox tradition holds that the Holy Fire happens annually on the day preceding Orthodox Easter. During this time, blue light is said to emit within Jesus Christ's tomb, rising from the marble slab covering the stone bed believed to be that upon which Jesus' body is to have been placed for burial.
