AKIPRESS.COM - Turkmenistan carries out necessary work to organize distance learning in its secondary and higher education systems. During the meeting of Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan on Friday, Deputy Prime Minister Purli Agamyradov briefed the President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on the organization of distance learning, the State News Agency of Turkmenistan (TDH) reports.
Distant lessons and various scientific conferences are held on regular basis in a video conference format in educational facilities equipped with digital technologies. The country presently studies foreign experience in distant education.
For the first time in the country, it is proposed to organize distance methodological assistance to parents in preparing preschool children for school and distance education for citizens with disabilities.
In the foreseeable future, employees with secondary vocational education will be able to get higher education in their specialty, according to the report.
In this regard, it is planned to develop and introduce new provisions into national legislation on the use of distant learning technologies allowing implementation of distance education programs.
Following the report, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted that Turkmenistan makes the use of IT technologies a priority in its development and implements the concept of digitalization in all sectors of its economy.
President instructed to take relevant measures for further introduction of modern information and communication technologies.
