AKIPRESS.COM - Mongolia observes the silence day when all election campaigning is prohibited a day prior to the parliamentary elections.
Mongolia is expected to hold the parliamentary elections on June 24. There is also a 72-hour ban on the sale of alcohol from Tuesday to Thursday across the country in connectio to the upcoming elections.
Mongolia's parliament is unicameral, consisting of 76 lawmakers each serving a four-year term.
The landlocked Asian country last held parliamentary elections in June 2016.
