AKIPRESS.COM - President Shavkat Mirziyoyev held talks with President Vladimir Putin as part of his working visit to Moscow, the Uzbek president's press service reported.
The state visit of the President of Uzbekistan to Russia was planned for this period, however the coronavirus pandemic has changed the plan and the visit was delayed until later time.
Vladimir Putin thanked Shavkat Mirziyoyev for the decision to attend the events marking the 75th anniversary of the World War II victory.
"The detachment of the armed forces of Uzbekistan, 75 servicemen I think, will march on the Red Square," the Kremlin press service cited Putin as saying.
"This is first time," Mirziyoyev added.
