AKIPRESS.COM - Former President of Kyrgyzstan Kurmanbek Bakiyev received two land plots 70 ares in size near the Presidential Residence at the Zaslavl Water Reservoir (known as the Minsk Sea) in march 2020 in accordance with the decision of President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko.
On March 17, Kurmanbek Bakiyev received the land plot 45 ares in size at the Minsk Sea, not far from Zaslavl 2 Presidential Residence. The land plot was provided for a long-life period for homesteading. The same day Bakiyev received a nearby land plot 25 ares in size for construction and maintenance of the house, Tut.by reported.
The information on land allocation is published in the state register of immovable property of Belarus.
The land plots were provided on the basis of the decision of Minsk region administration for official use. The decision was made in accordance of the presidential resolution of December 2019.
Bakiyev and his relatives, cronies fled from Kyrgyzstan after April 2010 revolution, when ???? 90 were killed and above 300 were injured. Bakiyev settled in Belarus and acquired citizenship there. In 2015, he built a residence in Rzhvates village, Gomel district, which he presented to his daughter in 2019.
Bakiyev is sentenced to 30 years in prison. Kyrgyzstan unsuccessfully requested extradition of Bakiyev, however the authorities of Belarus denied extradition, saying the case is politically motivated.
