AKIPRESS.COM - MPs considered draft amendments to the Tax Code of the Kyrgyz Republic on June 25. The bill proposes to increase the tax rate on income of mining and processing enterprises by 7% in the case of sales of gold-containing ores and concentrates and to revise the tax base of royalties when selling metal-containing ores and concentrates.
Deputy Economy Minister Eldar Alisherov said during discussions that there are about 13 large gold mines in Kyrgyzstan containing more than 10,000 tons of gold.
According to Alisherov, those fields are Kumtor -- Sary-Tor, Central and South-West sites, Jerooy, Taldybulak Levoberejnyi, Jamgyr, Shiraldjin, Bozymchak, Kuru-Tegerek, Tereksai, Ishtemberdi, Shambesai, Chaarat and Kuran-Jailoo.
