Hospitals in Bishkek and Osh filled beyond capacity

AKIPRESS.COM - The hospitals in Bishkek and Osh are filled beyond capacity, Deputy Health Minister Madamin Karataev admitted during a briefing today.
"We have 335 beds now and think about their increase. We see the daily growth in new cases. The places are arranged for patients with pneumonia at the Spa Medicine Institute in Vorontsovka village (20 km to the south of Bishkek), 92 beds are prepared at the the Bishkek City Clinical Hospital No. 1," Karataev said.
The ambulance service does not cope with the huge number of calls, he said.
"Ambulance service received 146 calls last night, 33 teams are responding to calls. They physically can't cope with such load," the Deputy Health Minister said.
