Police division chief rescuing woman taken hostage dies of stroke

AKIPRESS.COM - The chief of police division No. 5 of Pervomay district of Bishkek, Erkin Jaanbaev, died in early hours of June 29, the Bishek police department told AKIpress.
The police division chief died presumably from stroke.
Erkin Jaanbaev participated in the operation to rescue the young woman taken hostage by her ex-lover, who stabbed her. Jaanbaev held negotiations with the man and detained him.
The young woman was taken to the hospital, but she died there of stabbed wounds.
