4 children referred to orphanage after police raid in Osh

AKIPRESS.COM - Police officers in Osh arranged "The Beggar" precautionary raid, reports police department's press service.
The main aim of the raid are preventative measures for COVID-19 among beggars, the protection of human rights and prevention of other law violations.
"People who beg at central streets produce negative impressions for tourists. During the raid we discovered that some of beggars had to do that because of life conditions, but for the others begging is a convenient way to earn money. Such people walk the roads and impede to traffic. They violate civil rights of children and make them beg," the press service states.
During the first day of the raid police officers caught 20 beggars who sat at the roads. The four citizens who needed aid were sent to house of mercy, four children went to orphanage. The others got notes of warning.
The police said it will continue such raids.
