AKIPRESS.COM - Five chartered flights were arranged from Turkey since start of the coronavirus pandemic, Ambassador Kubanychbek Omuraliyev said.
More than 1,500 citizens of Kyrgyzstan were brought home.
The last flight was made on June 9, when 330 citizens were airlifted.
"Since outbreak of coronavirus, the Embassy and the General Consulate started making lists of citizens willing to return to Kyrgyzstan. The flights were arranged when the necessary of citizens willing to return was reached. Those who were added to the list first, will fly first. Priority given to ill people, pregnant women, citizens with young children or ederly people," Ambassador Omuraliyev stated.
The chartered flights from Turkey to Kyrgyzstan will be made on July 2 and 4, the Ambassador added.
466 citizens will be airlifted on two flights in total.
The number of citizens willing to return to Kyrgyzstan from Turkey exceeds 600, the Ambassador said.
