Total of COVID-19 cases in Russia surpasses 650,000

AKIPRESS.COM - 6,556 new COVID-19 cases are confirmed in Russia as of July 1, reports the emergency response team for coronavirus containment.
New cases are confirmed in 83 regions of the country. 2,091 (31.9%) are contacts and asymptomatic cases.
The total number of confirmed cases reached 654,405.
According to Federal Service for Surveillance on Consumer Rights Protection and Human Wellbeing, 19.8 million laboratory tests were made for coronavirus, including 289,000 in the previous 24 hours. 284,000 patients remain in hospitals.
216 people died from coronavirus infection for the last 24 hours. Most lethal cases are reported in St.Petersburg - 46 and in Moscow - 35.
The total number of lethal cases from coronavirus infection in Russia reached 9,536.
