Suzak man gets 2 years of probation for torturing his wife

AKIPRESS.COM - The Suzak district court announced verdict in the high-profile case of the wife tortured by her husband, Turmush reported.
The man was found guilty and was sentenced to 2 years of probation. He was released in court room.
The video showing a woman of Bek-Abad village, Suzak district, Jalal-Abad region being tortured by a man went viral on social networks and caused nation-wide public outrage. A man in his early 50-s was beating his wife on the video: he put tyres filled with rocks on her neck, slapped the woman into the face and poured a cold water on her head.
The man on the video said he wanted to teach lesson. The video was sent by him to his sister-in-law.
The woman received brain concussion. Her husband beat her after she had stayed at night at her sister.
The woman said her husband is a good person. He beat her before but never such cruelly, she admitted.
The government assumed control over the incident. Activists held online action in protest against domestic violence. Fragmented pickets were held in protest against violence against women.
