Kyrgyzstan receives multi-million assistance for COVID-19 response from 4 international donors

AKIPRESS.COM - The health care system of Kyrgyzstan received funding from 4 international donors, Deputy Prime Minister Aida Ismailova told a briefing today.
The World Bank provided $9 million for Erik project.
"Tenders were held and re-tenders are held now. Personal protective gear, equipment and ventilators were purchased and are in the process of delivery now. Ambulance cars were purchased on these funds as well," the Deputy Prime Minister said.
The World Bank provided $12 million for COVID-19 response.
"The agreement was ratified, the tender is in progress," Ismailova said.
The Asian Development Bank provided $20 million. The financing agreement was ratified.
The Islamic Development Bank provided $15 million.
"The agreement was signed on June 21, the Parliament ratified the agreement on June 25," Deputy PM Ismailova added.
