AKIPRESS.COM - According to the information of Uzbekistan's Embassy in Moscow, some social network users spread fake messages that Russia-Kazakhstan border is open and Uzbek citizens can return home via Kazakhstan, the Foreign Ministry of Uzbekistan said.
"Some private taxi drivers spread messages that they can transfer people to Russian-Kazakh border and help them to cross," the Foreign Ministry's statement reports.
The Foreign Ministry has asked citizens not to trust false information and reminded that the borders of Russia, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan remain closed.
The Ministry also reported that increased number of Uzbek citizens arrived at Bolshaya Chernigovka village in Samara region, Buzuluk district and Sol-Iletsk after they'd believed fake news that they can return home via Kazakhstan.
"We ask our citizens in Russia not to follow acts of provocation, not to arrive at checkpoints of Russian-Kazakh border, stay at the places you currently are and follow all quarantine regulations," the Foreign Ministry said.
