AKIPRESS.COM - Kyrgyz citizens continued to arrive at Russian-Kazakh border in Orenburg region in Russia despite borders of Kazakhstan remaining closed, Vice Foreign Minister Nuran Niyazaliyev said.
According to the Vice Minister, transit corridor through Kazakhstan was arranged three times.
1,496 Kyrgyz citizens traveled to Kyrgyzstan in 2 columns by 20 buses and 12 buses on July 6.
541 Kyrgyz citizens returned by 10 buses on May 7.
164 Kyrgyz nationals traveled to Kyrgyzstan by the chartered flight from Orenburg on May 20.
413 Kyrgyzstanis returned by 9 buses on May 24.
2,614 Kyrgyz citizens in total were brought back by plane and buses from the Russian-Kazakh border.
"Kazakhstan has established strict limitations for crossing borders due to COVID-19 pandemic," Niyazaliyev said. He asked Kyrgyzstanis not to arrive at Kazakh-Russian border.
