AKIPRESS.COM - Many patients with pneumonia remain in Jumgal district hospital in Naryn region. There are no places left, Turmush reports.
22 patients with pneumonia are being treated in hospital, 2 of them are in serious condition and 2 in critical condition as of July 7, hospital vice chief Saltanat Sultanova said.
"We have only 9 oxygen concentrators, one is in delivery room, another one is in intensive care unit, others are in use. We also have only 2 monitors, 2 lung ventilators for the whole district, only 2 pulse oxymeters in the hospital. That's not enough," Sultanova says.
Ambulance paramedic Kaken Busurmankulova noted that many people are panicking and the number of calls to ambulance grows.
"Major part of population is in panic, there're a lot of calls to ambulance, around 20 people visit hospital every day. If they have temperature or other symptoms, they call us," Busurmankulova said and advised to visit doctors only with obvious infection symptoms.
Daytime in-patient facility at the Nogoybayev middle school is being prepared in Chayek village.
