Center for coordination of volunteer activities set up in Kyrgyzstan

AKIPRESS.COM - The center for coordination of volunteering and close interaction with government agencies called Birge [Together] was set up, representative of the headquarters of the center Eldar Shabdanov told a press briefing today.
The center will improve coordination of actions of volunteers, will help avoid duplication of work, he said.
The platform birge.pro registers all problems of medical workers. One can track progress of implementation of tasks there.
"Another goal of the platform is to involve as many people as possible into solution of problems, since there are many groups of volunteers, but problems are much more," he said.
One group of volunteers creates a database of needs of all hospitals in Kyrgyzstan, registering the scope of needed assistance and location.
The second group of volunteers supports the database of suppliers of medicines and personal protective gear.
Another group coordinates meals related issues.
One more group handles transportation issues.
The planner on the birge.pro portal will be integrated into the government portal, which is now being developed by the government.
