Kyrgyz Health Ministry recalls medical staff on leave to address shortage of personnel

AKIPRESS.COM - The Ministry of Health is recalling all medical staff on leave, Ministry's spokesperson Ainura Akmatov told a press briefing on July 9.
She noted a shortage of intensive care physicians currently observed in the country.
"In normal time we have enough critical care physicians. However, now around 200 intensive care physicians caught coronavirus," she said.
To address shortage of medical personnel, medical workers were mobilized from the regions of the country.
"Also, all medical workers willing to help in such crisis are mobilized. These are people who used to work in healthcare organizations before. They are undergoing medical examination necessary for work in hospials," she said.
