AKIPRESS.COM - 3.6 billion soms were allocated from state budget for the healthcare sector (with transfers to the Compulsory Medical Insurance Fund 14.3 billion soms), however 6.6 billion soms are envisaged in 2020 (with transfers to the Medical Insurance Fund 18.1 billion soms), the government reports.
"The COVID-19 pandemic not only affected the economic situation in the country and made significant adjustments to the lives of ordinary citizens of Kyrgyzstan, but also affected the work of all state bodies, the collection of tax and customs payments, which forms the state budget," the government noted.
243.3 million soms were allocated from the state budget this year to pay the compensations and incentives to medical workers involved in fight against coronavirus infection.
"In addition, measures for the purchase of ventilators, portable oxygen concentrates, personal protective equipment, necessary medications and hygiene products were financed timely.
