Ministry of Health comments on cases of unknown pneumonia in Kazakhstan

AKIPRESS.COM - The Ministry of Health of Kazakhstan refuted reports of some Chinese media about cases of unknown pneumonia which is more lethal than COVID-19 in Kazakhstan.
World Health Organization introduced into ICD 10 codes for pneumonia diagnosis when COVID-19 is diagnosed clinically or epidemiologically, but test results are negative, such as "opal glass" lung damage symptom.
Kazakhstan as other countries in the world monitors these cases of pneumonia to stabilize the growth of coronavirus infections.
Minister of Health Aleksey Tsoy told a press briefing on July 9 about total number of pneumonia cases registered in the country, including bacterial, fungous, viral and of unknown etiology (according to ICD 10), the statement said.
