The earthquake epicenter was located on the territory of Kyrgyzstan: 13 km south-east of the village of Kara-Bulak, 15 km south-east of the village of Orto-Syrt, 15 km north-east of the village of Ak-Beyit, 26 km to south-west of the village of Kazybek, 28 km south-west of the village of Kyzyl-Tuu, 32 km south-west of the village of Kara-Bulun, 38 km south-east of the village of Baetovo, 40 km to the south-west west of the village of Kara-Suu, 79 km south-west of the city of Naryn, 210 km north-east of the city of Osh
