AKIPRESS.COM - Police detained 3 protesters at Ala-Too central square today and took them to the police station over suspected public calls for violent seizure of power, the Interior Ministry's reported. The Interior Ministry's Service for Counteraction to Extremism and Illegal Migration (SCEIM) established on June 16 that unidentified person spread a 9-minute audio via WhatsApp and social media, in which citizens were called to come for a rally outside the Parliament building to overthrow the power.
On June 17, SCEIM established that a participant of WhatsApp group Chon Kazat spread the audio with the call to set the White House in Bishkek with 120 MPs inside on fire.
Both facts were registered over public calls for violent seizure of power under the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
On July 6, SCEIM established Facebook user M.A. in his post claimed about harm of 5G technology and suggested to follow example of other nations burning 5G antennas, he also criticized the leadership of the country. The fact was registered under interregional hatred incitement charges.
Following necessary linguistic examinations, SCEIM identified those who spread audios and made Facebook post.
The police detained the identified men, who were among protesters at Ala-Too square today.
"The citizens were brought to police station to check their involvement into the above crimes," the press service said.
