ADB to allcate $100 million for modernization of Uzbekistan's healthcare system

AKIPRESS.COM - Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade of Uzbekistan Sardor Umurzakov held video conference with President of Asian Development Bank (ADB) Masatsugu Asakawa, the Ministry press service reports.
Discussions focused on cooperation in coronavirus containment and minimization of negative effects on social and economic development in Uzbekistan.
Masatsugu Asakawa said that ADB will approve $100 million loan at the beginning of August to modernize Uzbekistan's healthcare system and sanitary service.
They also discussed cooperation projects in agriculture, water resources management, healthcare, education, energy and other spheres.
Uzbekistan and Asian Development Bank agreed to continue cooperation and start planning a new cooperation program for 2021-2023.
