AKIPRESS.COM - The Asian Development Bank and UNICEF handed over another consignment of medical supplies to major hospitals of Bishkek on July 15.
They included 8,000 adult nasal cannulas and Geudel airways, which are used to deliver oxygen or increased airflow to patients in respiratory need.
The supplies were handed over to the National TB Center, National Hospital, National Infectious Diseases Hospital, Bishkek Clinical Hospital No. 1.
The develiry was made from ADB's $200,000 emergency medical assistance to help Kyrgyzstan in procurement of supplies through UNICEF.
From April to June 2020, some 20,000 medical gloves, 2,000 protective overalls, 2,300 FPP2 respirators, 300 endotracheal tubes, 3,000 pediatric cannulas, more than 1,500 respiratory kits to hospitals all over the country.
All medical equipment and consumables are purchased by UNICEF from certified producers.
