Uzbekistan to fine citizens without face masks outside from $23 to $70

AKIPRESS.COM - People without face masks outside will be fined in Uzbekistan since March 25, Coronavirus Info telegram channel reported. In case a person is found without a mask outside for the first time, this person will be fined for 223,000 soums ($23). Repeated non-wearing will be fined for 669,000 soums ($70).
The National Guard soldiers and patrol police officers will patrol streets of the country.
The minimum salary in Uzbekistan makes $23 now.
Uzbek authorities obliged citizens of the country to wear face masks when going outside since March 23.
Those without face masks found in public places of Tashkent, Karakalpakstan, region centers were warned only since that time.
