Peak of COVID-19 prevalence rate expected in early April in Kazakhstan - Health Minister

AKIPRESS.COM - Peak of coronavirus prevalence is expected in early April, Minister of Health Yelzhan Birtanov said. "We forecast the peak of prevalence rate in the first decade of April. The undertaken quarantine actions, according to our projections, allowed to reduce the transmission of virus by around 50%," the Health Minister said.
Extension of the state of emergency will depend upon the epidemiological situation, he said.
"We hope that by April 15 we will see reduction of prevalence rate. The head of state will make respective decisions then," the Minister said.
