Consolidaiton of Covid-19 and pneumonia statistics to help make forecasts and choose proper strategy for coronavirus fight

AKIPRESS.COM - The Kyrgyz government consolidated the statistics on coronavirus and pneumonia cases since July 17. The Ministry of Health issued an order according to which coronavirus statistics will include community-acquired pneumonia with clinical symptoms of coronavirus, Deputy Prime Minister Aida Ismailova told a press briefing on July 20.
"Many countries do not include community-acquired pneumonia into coronavirus statistics. Despite the death toll from coronavirus leaped after consolidation of data, we have kept the statistics combined. This step was discussed with specialists," she said.
This measure will allow to see the real situation, to make forecasts and choose a correct strategy for coronavirus fight, she added.
The Deputy Prime Minister asked people in Kyrgyzstan to wear masks in public places, practice a good personal hygiene, use antiseptics.
