Tajikistan imports gas from Uzbekistan for $17 million

AKIPRESS.COM - Tajikistan imports less energy to Uzbekistan than this country imports natural gas to Tajikistan, Avesta reports.
The cost of natural gas import from Uzbekistan is 2.3 times higher than export cost of Tajikistan's energy to Uzbekistan, Ministry of Energy and Water said.
Tajikistan exported 358 million kWh of energy to Uzbekistan for $7.2 million in the first half of the year.
Tajikistan imported 144 million cubic meters of gas from Uzbekistan for $17 million.
Tajik Ministry of Energy did not publish estimated amounts of energy export to Uzbekistan in 2020.
They however announced that Tajikistan would buy estimately 200 million of Uzbek natural gas in 2020.
