Russia confirms 5,862 COVID-19 cases, 789,190 in total

AKIPRESS.COM - 5,862 new COVID-19 cases are confirmed in Russia on July 22, the emergency response team reports.
These cases are confirmed in 83 regions of the country. 1,516 (25.9%) are contacts of confirmed cases and asymptomatic cases.
The total number of confirmed cases is 789,190 (+0.7%).
According to Federal Service for Surveillance on Consumer Rights Protection and Human Wellbeing, more than 25.7 million laboratory tests were carried out since the beginning of the pandemic, including 255,000 in the previous 24 hours. 572,053 patients recovered. 267,171 patients remain under medical observation.
165 people died from coronavirus on July 22. Most fatalities are reported in St. Petersburg - 28 and in Moscow - 19.
The total number of lethal cases from coronavirus in Russia reaches 12,745.
