WHO hands over humanitarian aid to Uzbekistan for more than $4 million

AKIPRESS.COM - WHO Regional Office for Europe dispatched humanitarian aid valued at more than $4 million and around 85 tons in weight to Uzbekistan, Gazeta.uz reported.
Supplies were purchased by WHO Headquarters through COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund and arrived in Uzbekistan with assistance of WHO Country Office.
Humanitarian aid was delivered in two stages.
The first batch arrived in Tashkent on July 8 and included more than 619,000 face shields and over 2.1 million surgical masks.
The second batch arrived in Tashkent on July 17. It included 95,200 goggles, 178,000 protective gowns, 12,000 surgical masks, 1 million KN95 respirators.
The aid was handed over to the Sanitary and Epidemiological Well-Being Agency under the Ministry of Health.
