AKIPRESS.COM - 50 more Russian doctors arrived in Kyrgyzstan today on a plane of the Russian Emergencies Ministry, Emergency Situations, Health Ministry reports.
Medical assistance is provided by Russia free of charge following the agreement reached between the Presidents of two countries.
A team of experienced medical workers arrived from Bashkortostan, led by the Deputy Minister of Health of the Republic, Evgeny Kustov, to provide assistance to colleagues in the fight against COVID-19.
According to Kustov, 5 groups of Russian specialists consisting of 50 specialists included doctors - surgeons, cardiologists, therapists, pediatricians, traumatologists, anesthesiologists-resuscitators, infectious disease specialists, pulmonologists and other specialists with extensive experience in the treatment of patients with coronavirus infection.
The delegation of Russian specialists was met by the State Secretary of the Kyrgyz Ministry of Health Kalysbek Shadykhanov, who expressed gratitude to the government of the Russian Federation for the assistance.
"Today, Russian specialists will get acquainted with the situation in Kyrgyzstan, and starting tomorrow they will begin their work in health care organizations in Bishkek, Osh, Jalal-Abad and Issyk-Kul regions," Shadykhanov noted.
