Several international organizations provide assistance to Kyrgyzstan for COVID-19 response

AKIPRESS.COM - Kyrgyzstan received assistance from several international organizations since coronavirus outbreak, UN agencies among them, including UNDP, WHO, UNICEF, UNFPA, IAEA, UN Women, WFP, Deputy Foreign Minister Nuran Niyazaliev said.
Particularly, Kyrgyzstan received another consignment of assistance from the World Health Organization valued at $508,000.78 on July 16.
IAEA handed over high-speed equipment for COVID-19 diagnostics with consumables for 63,795 Euros, Deputy Minister Niyazaliev said.
Kyrgyzstan also received assistance from OSCE.
Trucks equipped with public address systems were riding across the town informing people about the pandemic and coronavirus threat. Such information campaign was made possible due to OSCE assistance, Niyazaliev said.
The Deputy Foreign Minister also thanked the European Union, Aga Khan Foundation, Japan International Cooperation Agency, Korea International Cooperation Agency, Qatar Charity, GIZ, Al Safa Foundation, Assanabil for their assistance.
