AKIPRESS.COM - Kyrgyzstan has obtained $56.2 to contain coronavirus infection, Deputy Finance Minister Abdybaly tegin Suerkul told a briefing today.
$20.6 million is a grant and $35.6 million is a loan, he said.
Two projects of the World Bank for $9 million are in progress now, he added.
One of them is emergency assistance project.
Contracts were signed for $6.2 million. Supplies for $3.2 million were delivered already. More deliveries for $3 million are expected in July-August. All these supplies will be used in coronavirus fight, the Deputy Finance Minister said.
The second project for $12.15 million was ratified on May 4. The tender procedures are underway now, he added.
Two more projects - Asian Development Bank's $20 million project and Islamic Development Bank's $15 milion project - were ratified by the Parliament recently. "We expect their signing soon. Tenders are held and procurements are made at the same time," the Deputy Finance Minister stated.
