Intensive care unit bed occupancy by COVID-19 patients in Kazakhstan falls 19%

AKIPRESS.COM - Stabilization of epidemiological situation allowed to improve access to health care services, occupancy of provisional and infectious disease hospitals declined. Occupancy of provisional hospital beds decreased by 40% (from 89% to 49%), of intensive care beds by 19% (from 73% to 54%), the Ministry of Health of Kazakhstan reported in Telegram.
The number of stationary beds is enough for patients with COVID-19 and pneumonia. The number of beds grew for 21,700, from 30,400 to 52,100 places, the Ministry said.
"The statistics shows that dynamics has become stable. Doctors return to usual work hours, measures are taken systematically," Minister of Health Aleksey Tsoi noted.
