AKIPRESS.COM - Deputy Prime Ministers Aida Ismailova and Erkin Asrandiyev today met with volunteers providing assistance to people during the coronavirus pandemic, the Kyrgyz government's press service reported.
"The aim of today's meeting is discussion of relevant problems of volunteering movement in order to consolidate our efforts to effectively counter pandemic. Volunteer organizations are making all possible efforts to provide assistance to citizens and the state in such difficult time. Government agencies in return try to provide all possible support to volunteers. We need to coordinate our actions. A special platform was created for this purpose," Aida Ismailova said.
The Deputy Prime Ministers made presentations on obtained donor and humanitarian aid and its distribution.
Volunteers suggested improvements on concrete examples and asked to pay a particular attention to the regions with extremely difficult epidemiological situation. Protection of health and life of medical workers was raised among other issues.
Launch of e-medicine, support of business community amid crisis, raising public awareness about pandemic fight were considered as well.
The decision was made such meetings will be held regularly.
The meeting with volunteers was also attended by Minister of Emergency Situations Zamirbek Askarov, Minister of Labor and Social Development Ulukbek Kochkorov, State IT and Communication Committee Chairman Altynbek Ismailov, Deputy Health Minister Mademin Karataev, Deputy Finance Minister Abdybaly Tegin Suerkul, Vice Chief of Financial Police Emil Jamgirchiev, Vice Chief of Traffic Police Imanaly Sarkulov, State Secretary of State Tax Service Karagul uulu Jakyp, First Vice Chairperson of Health Insurance Fund Klara Oskombaeva, Bishkek vice mayor Aziz Alymkulov. The region governors and the mayor of Osh participated in the meeting virtually.
