Kyrgyz government launches platform to coordinate volunteer assistance

AKIPRESS.COM - The platform Birgeprowas created for work of the government with volunteers, Deputy Prime Minister Aida Ismailova said. The platform was created with involvement of line government agencies and local self-government bodies for effective and timely coordination of volunteer assistance, she said.
A platform was integrated into the covid.kg portal, which reflects available hospital beds in the capital and other parts of the country.
"The work was uneasy. The reliable information was needed to make entries in the platform so that they platform would display available hospitals and bed occupancy," Ismailova explained.
The platform will be updated regularly and will allow to track number of medical workers in hospitals, available oxygen concentrators. The information is updated now on availability of lung ventilators and personal protective equipment, she added.
"As for personal protective equipment, we have aggregate information from the Health Insurance Fund and the Ministry of Health on stock of PPEs in all healthcare organizations across the country," the Deputy Prime Minister stated.
