AKIPRESS.COM - President Kasym-Jomart Tokayev held a meeting on critical issues of epidemiological situation in the country.
Prime Minister Askar Mamin reported to the President about 29% decline in coronavirus cases after re-introduciton of lockdown since July 5. The number of new cases stabilized at 1,500-1,600 daily cases. The hospital occupancy rate declined by 43%. The number of recoveries grew to 63%. The number of calls to ambulance call centers declined. The reduction of work burden on health system was achieved.
Health Minister Alexey Tsoy outlined approaches to step-wise loosening of quarantine restrictions.
President Tokayev tasked the state commission to extend quarantine restrictions for 2 weeks with gradual loosening of restrictions in view of risk of possible deterioration of the epidemiological situation in Kazakhstan and the neighboring states.
