AKIPRESS.COM - The work to address shortage of medicines was carried out at government level, Deputy Prime Minister Aida Ismailova said today.
"You know we had cases of profiteering on medicines, especially in times of their critical shortage amid spike in coronavirus cases. People could not buy anticoagulant injections, antibiotics," she said.
The government issued a resolution allowing pharmaceutical companies to import medicines without any obstacles and restrictions in accordance with approved list, Aida Ismailova said.
"There is no problem with supply of medicines now. We are monitoring the situation. Purchase of more medicines is considered now to avoid shortage in future," the Deputy PM added.
