Kyrgyzstan mourns for coronavirus victims

AKIPRESS.COM - "Today is the day of nation-wide mourning for those who died from coronavirus in Kyrgyzstan. On this day all Kyrgyzstanis will pay tribute to those who have died of Covid-19 and will offer condolences to their families," President Sooronbai Jeenbekov said in his address to people of Kyrgyzstan. "The virus that affected all countries in the world brought much grief to Kyrgyzstan: we have lost our citizens. Parents, children, relatives of many citizens of Kyrgyzstan have died. The country suffers irrepairable losses," the President said.
It hurts to think about every victim of coronavirus, let them rest in peace, the President said.
"Fight for lives of citizens, for health of people has not ended yet. This trouble has become a severe endurance test for all. The fight against disease, protection of health of people is the nation-wide fight. The coronavirus will be beaten through the joint efforts if we stand united," he added.
"I grieve with all those who lost their parents, sons, daughters, relatives. Let the God protect our strong and courageous people, our Kyrgyzstan! Let peace, unity and prosperity always reign on our soil!" President Jeenbekov said.
