AKIPRESS.COM - 62-year-old businessman Orazmurat Bekmammedov, has died from complications caused by coronavirus on July 25, turkmen.new reported.
He created the Owadan Ulke firm, familiar across Turkmenistan for its Nur brand of preserved vegetables, mayonnaise and ketchup.
The Government of Turkmenistan denies presence of coronavirus in the country. However, following visit of WHO mission to Turkmenistan on July 6, the Ministry of Health of Turkmenistan declared about high concentration of dust in air that may transmit deadly viruses. People in Turkmenistan receive SMS alerts throughout July asking to wear masks, regularly wash hands and keep a 2-meter distance.
The number of coronavirus cases and fatalities reportedly is growing. 200 patients were admitted to the cardiology hospital in Ashgabat repurposed for patients with pneumonia. The patients are also taken to Niyazov hospital in the capital, turkmen.news reported.
