Around half of coronavirus cases among medical workers account for middle-level personnel

AKIPRESS.COM - 2,829 PCR-confirmed coronavirus cases are registered among medical workers, this is 16.8% of all coronavirus cases, Health Ministry's spokesperson Ainura Akmatova told a briefing today.
Around half of infected medical workers account for middle-level medical personnel - 43.7%. They include sanitary doctors, epidemiologists, laboratory workers and nurses.
Doctors made 34.7% of coronavirus cases and junior medical personnel stands at 11% of cases among medical workers.
10.6% account for residents, drivers, IT specialists, storekeepers.
The average age of infected medical workers made 45 years. Their age varies between 23 and 69 years.
85% of infected medical workers are women and 15% are men, Akmatova said.
