Entrance exams in universities of Uzbekistan to take place in stadiums

AKIPRESS.COM - President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a meeting on admission to universities and preparation for 2020/2021 academic year, president's press service reports. Mirziyoyev noted that venues for entrance exams should be safe for university applicants.
Entrace examinations will be organized in central stadiums in Tashkent and regions, because indoor settings will be unsafe.
Exams will be held twice a day. The process will take estimately 12-14 days.
State Commission on Admission, governors, Ministry of Internal Affairs, National Guard, Ministry of Sports, State Safety Service will supervise exams.
Universities can offer 162,364 places in bachelor's program and 10,425 in master's degree program.
1,484,000 students applied for bachelor's program in 91 universities in the country, which is by 39% more than last year.
78,720 students applied for master's degree program in 72 universities, which is 3 times more than in 2019.
