Citizens in Bishkek to light candles in windows as tribute to the deceased from COVID-19 and pneumonia

AKIPRESS.COM - Mayor's office in Bishkek will organize "Memorial Candle" action on August 29. Citizens will pay tribute to people who died from coronavirus and pneumonia. Electricity in houses will be cut off at 9:30 p.m. People will open windows and light candles.
Street lights will be turned off for several minutes in the area between Chui avenue (from Beishenalieva st. to 7 April st.), Ch. Aitmatov avenue, Baitik Batyr str., I. Akhunbaev str., Kievskaya str. (from Beishenalieva st. to Ibraimov st.).
