AKIPRESS.COM - Russian reporter Semen Pegov who was freed from remand prison said that Kyrgyz citizens were in the cell with him, Komsomolskaya Pravda reports. "There are no lists of detained people. There are many people, so it is difficult to find a detained person. Now they called to Embassies of other countries, because citizens of Italy, Switzerland, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan were in the cell with us. Most of them got into police vans by accident. They need support," the reporter said.
According to him, cells in remand prison are full. Police officers detained not only protesters, but also journalists and ordinary citizens.
Mass protests in Belarus started after the end of presidential election.
Election officials earlier preliminarily announced that current president Alexander Lukashenko was re-elected for a sixth term with more than 80% of the vote. Main opposition candidate Svetlana Tikhanovskaya came second with 10%.
