Security cameras installed around Osh market, 7 of them recognize faces

AKIPRESS.COM - The CCTV cameras were installed in Jal micro-district and around Osh market in Bishkek, Leninskiy district governor Chinasyl Chynybaev said.
The district administration runs a program on installation of security cameras around the Osh market, since this is the crime-ridden area in the district, he said.
7 cameras on the territory of the Osh market have facial recognition option.
Around 40 CCTV cameras were supposed to be installed around the market.
The plans for 2020 were changed due to coronavirus pandemic, the governor said. "Hopefully, the digitalization works will continue," he added.
150 security cameras will be installed by August 31 in the 11th, 12th and Asanbai micro-districts, Oktyabrskiy district governor Azamat Doroev said.
